| Members will recall that last year's Festival was cancelled due to the foot and mouth
epidemic. This year's Festival took place last week and unfortunately got off to a poor start due to the non-appearance of some of the guests. Steady rain and an irate husband also took a toll on the festivities. However several of our favourites and some exciting newcomers attended and we have a selection of summer shots to warm us in the winter evenings. |
Above Alexandra, left (an exciting new face), meets
Emma, Dora and Veronica for a drink. Right Daphne and Sophia deep in conversation about the future of the
Village Green.

Albert called to see us in between his latest court appearance and the induction of the new vicar. He missed out on Alexandra and Veronica Left enjoying a break between the storm clouds to enjoy the sun. Shelly Right was a bit late after being directed to the wrong venue, but made a significant contribution to the carry-on. We took the opportunity to film most of the proceedings and edited highlights will be available on Video and DVD later in the year if can solve the technical problems. |

The
highlight of the Festival was, with out a doubt, the debut of
Pamindra Left from Brumistan. She has a little secret that she will
reveal later! We had another visitor who could only stay for a short time; Viviene from South Africa. But things began to go seriously adrift by the end of the week and the Festival broke up in disorder early on Friday afternoon, There are various charges and civil claims outstanding. |
